Ruidoso has a wonderful selection of activities for children of all ages. Enjoy horseback riding with four stalls in the city and on the nearby Mescalero Apache Reservation. If you are fishing for theHot spots are at Grindstone Dam, Mescalero Reservation and the mighty river the Rio Ruidoso, with plenty of good sized trout stocked. Just be sure and keep a local fishing license, easily obtainable at the local Wal-Mart and Western Auto. If you catch anything there, head trout pond on past the racetrack to Seeping Springs. They provide the gear, the fishing hole and you only pay 50 cents per inch for what you catch, no license required.
